My name is Filipe, and I have been an audiovisual translator for 9 years. I started my work as a translator in May 2015, working as a translator and proofreader for Netflix. My language pair is English – European Portuguese. Currently, I provide my translation services for Netflix, Hulu (Disney), HBO, and Amazon.

What have I been up to
In recent years, I have acquired extensive knowledge in the field of audiovisual translation, specifically in translation, proofreading, subtitling for the deaf and hard of hearing (CC/SDH), and metadata (VAM) for cinema and streaming.
TRANSLATION
Audiovisual translation of content for streaming or cinema. The translation can be with a template (pre-synchronized subtitles) or from scratch (spotting), only for cases where the template is not available.
MTPE
Machine Translation Post-editing. Post-editing of machine translation is a type of service intended for the rapid production of subtitles or other types of multimedia content. This service can be done as either light post-editing or full post-editing.
PROOFREADING
It is an essential step for any translation. This process represents the teamwork between the translator and the proofreader. In this process, the proofreader ensures the integrity and coherence of the text produced by the translator.
